The SOPSY Luc Ciompi Award will once again be presented at the annual congress of the Swiss Society of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SGPP), to be held on September 17-18, 2026, in Lugano.
This award honours outstanding research that carries forward the humanistic and scientific vision of Luc Ciompi.
Award-winning contributions will focus in particular on:
• the interaction between emotion and cognition in the understanding and treating of psychoses,
• psychosocial approaches that foster social inclusion and support people in leading fulfilling lives.
Special consideration will be given to work in which experts by experience / peers are actively involved at every stage of the process – from design through to publication.
Each submission should include:
• a brief curriculum vitae of the lead author,
• a summary, not exceeding half a page, highlighting the relevance of the work to the above mentioned themes.
Submission deadline: Submissions may be sent to the SGPP office (sgpp@psychiatrie.ch) by January 15, 2026.
